Trek to Api Himal Base Camp is one of the quite remote and untouched area in western Nepal. Very few tourists have visited the region each year. Api Himal (7132 meters) is considered as the highest mountain of far-west of Nepal. The real wilderness of the Nature can be experienced along this trail. Beautiful mountain landscape, cultural diversity, rapid rivers and pristine forests are the main attractions of this region. Apart from the scenic beauty, off-beaten trails and mysterious culture, the region offers a panoramic view of the 7817 meters Mt. Nandadevi, which lies in Uttar Pradesh of India, Thado Dhunga Tuppa (5368 meters), Api Himal, Rajamba (6537 meters), Kapchuli and many other peaks. The 6850 meters peak of Kapchuli is also known as Jethi-Bahurani. There is also a lake called Kali-Dhunga, which is about one and half hours walk from Api Himal Base Camp. This is one of the holy lakes of this area.

Drive from Mahendranagar to Gokuleshwor-Karkale (950m.) by bus (about 15 hours). Stay overnight at camp in Karkale.

Trek form Chiureni to Makarighat (1800m.) about 7 hours and stay over night at camp
Trek from Makarighat to Seti (3000m.) trek around 6 hours. (overnight at camp)
Trek from Seti trek to Bayaligad (3400m.) about 5 hours walk and stay overnight at camp
Trek from Bayaligad to Simar (3600m.) takes about 5 hours and stay overnight at camp.
Trek from Simar to Dhawaliwadar (3800m.)about 5 hours trek. stay overnight at camp
Trek from Dhawalidwar to Api Himal Base Camp (4100m.) trek about 2 hours. Stay overnight at camp.
Trek from Api Himal Base Camp to Saheb Bagar (2800m.) about 6 hrs. overnight at camp

Drive from Gokuleshwor to Mahendranagar by bus about 15 hrs
Drive from Mahendranagar to Kathmandu by bus. about 18 hrs
