Dolpo is located inside the Shey-Phoksundo National Park. It lies to the north of the Dhaulagiri Range and towards the Tibetan Plateau. Here one can find a finely preserved ecosystem that consists of variety of plants and wildlife, including the blue sheep and the elusive snow leopard. The view of the Kanjiroba peak, Phoksumdo Lake and the Dhaulagiri massif is one of the most rewarding moments of this trek. A visit to the Phoksumdo Gompa- dedicated to the ancient Bon Po religion is a memorable experience. This trek is for people who are exceptionally fit and prepared to take what Himalayan wilderness trekking has to offer.
Situated inside the Shey-Phoksundo National Park of Western Region of the country, Dolpo stands totally isolated. It lies behind the Dhaulagiri range and is cut off from the Tibetan Plateau by high passes. The high valleys of Dolpo are some of the most remarkable in the Himalaya with sweeping views, stretching to the arid Tibetan remote, unspoiled part of Nepal that has remained largely untracked and unexplored. Time has stood still here for centuries as the inhabitants of Tibetan stock continue to live, cultivate and commerce the way they have done since time immemorial. The finally preserved eco -system encompasses a wild and wonderful variety of plants and wildlife, including the blue sheep and now leopard.
Phoksundo Lake, 145 meters / 475 feet deepest, telling the deepest lake in Nepal is inside Shey Phoksundo National Park being a part of it by southern end., offers stunning beauty. Considered inviolable by the Dopla locals, it is praised for its aquamarine greenish blue color. No aquatic life in the lake pronounces that the water is crystal clear. Called by the seasoned travellers the jewel of Dolpo, Phoksundo Lake gives refreshing experience to the eyes by 167 meters tall waterfall from teh dam. Ringed by tall snow-capped mountains, view of Phoksundo Lake is an extremely satisfying experience.
Through the valley of Suli Gad, you cross the beautiful forest of Pines and juniper. A trail continues above a gorge with a water-fall until Buddhist Ringmo village. After this tiny village, arrive to monastery, observe Buddhist Puja until the other parts of neighborhood.

After breakfast, take time to enjoy a day of sightseeing on a guided tour of some of the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding valley. Visit Swayambhunath stupa, also known as the Monkey temple, with its fine views over Kathmandu and many interesting features as well as great stupa itself from 2700 years. Join the devotees, pilgrims and wandering sadhus at Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath is the most important Hindu temple in Nepal as well as being one of the most important Shiva temple on the subcontinent, situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. After that take your time around Bouddhanath stupa, one of the largest stupa in the world. Explore the myriad temples and courtyards of Patan Durbar Square, also known as the city of Fine Arts. Later the afternoon back to your hotel and simply relax or explore the surrounding yourself.
Flight Kathmandu to Nepalgunj; the hub of Western Nepal.
Early morning flight of 35 minutes out to Juphal airport in Dolpo region. Flights are always scheduled early in the morning in this regions because of high winds in the Thulo Bheri Valley begin around 10 am, making later flights impossible. Once we arrive at the airstrip at Juphal is at an altitude of 2354 m / 7745 feet, we start out on the short walk from Juphal to Dunai (2150 m / 7053 feet). We walk downhill through meadows and past a few houses to the small hotels at Kala Gaura (2090 m.). From here we follow the river trail upstream to Dunai. We camp near Dunai and explore this bustling little hill town for the rest of the afternoon.

Trek from Chunuwar to Phoksundo Lake (3733 m)/Ringmo (3610m) 3 hrs, visit village of Ringmo and
Bonpo Monastery.
